Compressed air is processed by a pre-treatment system to remove solid impurities such as oil and dust, as well as the majority of gaseous water. It enters an adsorption tower equipped with zeolite molecular sieves, where nitrogen, carbon dioxide, and water vapor in the air are adsorbed by the adsorbent, while oxygen is separated through the adsorption bed. When the impurities adsorbed in the adsorption tower reach a certain level, desorption is carried out to regenerate the adsorbent. The adsorption separation system consisting of two or three towers is automatically controlled by PLC or DCS system to cycle and switch, completing continuous oxygen production. This process is called PSA (Pressure Swing Adsorption, abbreviated as PSA) pressure swing adsorption oxygen production principle.
