APPLICATIONS

Application of nitrogen gas in laser cutting

In laser cutting, the material is completely melted by laser energy, and the cutting seam is blown out by nitrogen gas to avoid excess chemical reactions on the cutting surface. The temperature in the cutting area is relatively low, coupled with the cooling and protective effect of nitrogen, the reaction is smooth and uniform, the cutting quality is high, the cut section is delicate and smooth, the surface roughness is low, and there is no oxide layer.

The composition of the laser cutting dedicated nitrogen generator system includes an air compressor providing a gas source for the nitrogen generator. Nitrogen is separated from compressed air and concentrated in a low-pressure nitrogen storage tank, and then enters the final high-pressure nitrogen storage tank through a high-pressure nitrogen pressurization device.

High pressure gas for auxiliary cutting: Nitrogen, as a high-pressure gas, can remove oxygen from the cutting area and assist laser cutting. This can improve cutting quality, eliminate oxidation, prevent discoloration, thereby enhancing the adhesion and welding strength of paint pigments,
Optical path cleaning: Nitrogen gas is used for optical path cleaning, which can remove any particles from the laser beam path from the nozzle to the cutting area. This can prevent laser distortion and help maintain a more precise cutting path.
Optical head cleaning: Use nitrogen gas to blow the optical lens of the fiber laser. The cleaning of optical lenses ensures that the optical system is free of particles and moisture, protecting the laser and extending the service life of the equipment.

WORKING PRINCIPLE

When the air in the pressurized through the purification and drying, Base on Aerodynamics, nitrogen and oxygen in the air in the zeolite molecular sieve (ZMS) on the Pressure swing adsorption  will performance of different diffusion rate through the adsorption of nitrogen. Oxygen in carbon molecular sieve on the surface of the diffusion rate is higher than nitrogen. When the adsorption was not in balance, oxygen was absorbed by carbon molecular sieve in large quantity, and nitrogen was concentrated and enriched in the gas phase to achieve separation of oxygen and nitrogen.
